One thing that the book segment of the blogosphere seems to be good at are memes. So, to increase my book blogger cred, I’m going to have to step up my game.
Therefore, I am adding a meme. Teaser Tuesdays, hosted by Miz B at Should Be Reading. Here’s how it works …
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
I’ve just started David Liss’ The Devil’s Company, which I received on assignment from Blogcritics Magazine. So, random page, random 2 sentences, no spoilers, here we go:
I studied his weathered countenance as a dark mood fell over him. The lines and crevices of his face appeared now gulfs and jagged valleys. “Is there some trouble?”
“I reckon that’s why your uncle called for you, ain’t it?”
OK, that was more than two sentences, but that’s ok since it’s my first week. Head over to Miz B’s site and see what other teases there are. Maybe ou’ll find your next favorite book there!
